Deal Summary

BioVerde Industria e Commercio de Biocumbustiveis SA, a biodiesel production company, intends to acquire Companhia Petroquimica do Nordeste (Copenor), a biodiesel company, for a purchase consideration of EUR10.3 million ($13.21 million).

"With this investment we are completing the business plan to become the main biodiesel producer in the country after Petrobras," said Ailton Domingues, board member and head of capital markets at Trendbank.
