E.ON Raises USD546.4 Million in Public Offering of 0.875% Bonds Due 2024

Deal Summary

E.ON SE, a power generation, distribution and transmission company, has completed the public offering of 0.875% bonds due May 22, 2024, for gross proceeds of EUR500 million (USD546.4 million). Interest on the bonds will be paid annually.

Deutsche Bank AG, The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc, ING Wholesale Banking London and JPMorgan Chase & Co acted as bookrunners to the company for the transaction.

Concurrently, the company completed the public offering of 0.375% bonds due August 2021, for gross proceeds of EUR750 million (USD819.6 million) and 1.625% bonds due May 2029, for gross proceeds of EUR750 million (USD819.6 million).

The company intends to use proceeds from the offering to fund the payment it anticipates to make at mid-year in conjunction with the transfer of nuclear-storage obligations to the German government.
