Ukrhydroenergo Completes Project Financing Of $60 Million For Hydropower Rehabilitation Project In Ukraine

Deal Summary

All-Ukraine association Ukrhydroenergo, completed project financing of $60 million for the reconstruction and modernization of three hydraulic units at the Dniprovska 2 hydro power plant and three hydraulic units at the Kremenchuk hydro power plant located in Ukraine. It project also involve the installation of environmentally safe water turbine rotors.

The total installed capacity of the projects will increase by 400 MW and increase annual electricity generation by around 500 GW hours. The financing will be provided by World Bank.

The loan matures over a period of 12 years, with a grace period of six years, a loan rate of Libor plus 1.75%, an upfront commission of 0.25%, and a Finance Ministry rate of 2% for raising the loan under state guarantees.
