Kaduna State Government, announced to invest NGN11,000 million ($71.44 million) for the construction of hydro electricity dam project located in Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria. The Federal Government has approved the construction of the project. The initial cost of the project was NGN5,000 million ($32.47 million) which was designed to supply water but was later reviewed to also generate electricity to parts of the state.
