Methanor and Akuo Energy Invest in Hydro Power Plant in Savoie, France

Deal Summary

Methanor SCA, a company engaged in financing and operation of renewable energy projects, and Akuo Energy SAS, a renewable energy company, have invested in hydroelectric power plant situated in Savoie, France. The total installed capacity of the plant will be 2.2 MW. The total cost is expected to be EUR12.85 million (USD15.22 million). The investment per MW will be USD6.91 million.

Methanor has invested EUR0.96 million (USD1.14 million) alongside Akuo Energy and acquired 11% stake in the plant.

Currently, the plant is under construction and the structure is characterized by unevenness and a high flow rate. It is directly located in the bed of the river, about 150 meters from the bridge of the D72 C Randens, count 4 VLH type turbines that will be set up for a rated electrical output of 2,200 KW. The estimated average annual electricity production will be 14,675 MWh.
