Alterra Power Corp, a renewable energy company, has acquired Boswell Springs wind power plant situated in Albany County, Wyoming, US from Intermountain Wind, LLC, a developer of electrical generation and transmission projects. The total installed capacity of the wind power plant is 320 MW.
Alterra Power commenced construction of the project's main power transformers in 2016, and expects the project to qualify for US renewable electricity production tax credits (PTCs) at the full rate. The project is expected to commence commercial operations in 2020. The power generated from the wind power plant will be sold to Rocky Mountain Power, a division of PacifiCorp under a 20 year power purchase agreement (PPA).
Houlihan Lokey Inc acted as financial advisor to Intermountain Wind for the transaction.
