Gallop Acquires Flat Water Wind Farm Project From JW Prairie Wind

Deal Summary

Gallop, a clean energy developing company, completed acquisition of Flat Water wind farm project from JW Prairie Wind Power, a wholly subsidiary of Juwi group, a renewable energy developing company. The project is located in Richardson County, Nebraska, United States and has a total installed capacity of 60 MW, comprising of 40 General Electric wind turbines of 1.5 MW each.

The project produces approximately 220 million kilowatt hours of power annually which satisfies demand of approximately 20,000 US households. The project saves carbon dioxide emissions of approximately 1,30,000 tons every year. The project will schedule to commission its operations by the beginning of 2011. Omaha Public Power District (OPPD), a public power utility had signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 20 years for this project.This acquisition will enable Gallop Power to enhance its renewable energy in its portfolio.
