Vietnam To Approve Wind Power Plant In Ninh Thuan

The Government of Vietnam will formally approve the development of a wind power plant in the central province of Ninh Thuan in 2010, thanhniennews reported. The government has selected Electricity of Vietnam Group to set up a plan for the project, which is required to be submitted to Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung by May 2010. Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment intends to get financial support from Denmark for the project.
Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade said that 8.6% of the country’s land area has vast potential to build wind power plants, which has been left untapped so far.
