DONG Energy to Raise USD388.3 Million in Public Offering of Shares

Deal Summary

DONG Energy A/S, a power generation, distribution and transmission company, has agreed to issue 7,500,000 shares at a price of DKK321 (USD51.8) per share for gross proceeds of DKK2,407.5 million (USD388.33 million) in a public offering. The shares will be sold to institutional investors on a accelerated bookbuilding basis.

The shares sold in the offering are existing shares held by New Energy Investment, an investment compay indirectly owned by investment bank Goldman Sachs. The shares sold in the offering represents 1.78% stake of the total outstanding share capital of DONG Energy. The company will not receive any proceeds from the offering.

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., Nordea Bank AB and Danske Bank Group are acting as joint global bookrunners for the offering.
